Who I Am

𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰. 𝗜 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁, 𝗳𝗶𝘅 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸.

I am a multidimensional leader with the ability to drive both strategic and tactical priorities. Expertise I've developed at Fortune 500 companies includes executive leadership, financial management, project management, software quality assurance, business analysis, and data visualization. When I arrive at a new organization, a key activity I undertake is the work required to understand the business. Whether that means going out to see cardiac catheterization lab procedures or researching the competition online, this work is something that I would do regardless of my role. Analysis and understanding how to build effective strategies that support business needs based on the information (internal and external) are skills that have enabled me to be successful in multiple roles. I deal with the unknown by using my analytical skills, researching what is available, developing models with documented assumptions and risks, then testing the models. I helped found a project management office, when they were relatively new and had never been done at my organization before. I didn’t have a blueprint or a roadmap, I had to work with others in the organization to assess needs, conduct independent research, and develop the proposal for our specific implementation. We tried many new things, some of which worked well and some of which had to be adapted for use within the organization. 

Change is a part of growth. I’ve compiled documentation for a Food and Drug Administration audit of a new implantable medical device and for a Sarbanes Oxley audit of process controls to ensure the security of financial data (both passed). I’ve been on the phone with six countries before noon. I've successfully navigated conversations in my second language with a colleague using her third language so we could resolve financial reporting issues.
